Digital Illustration for Teens

Ages: 10 - 15
Bring your own iPad and dive into the world of digital illustration! Taught by a Pratt Institute–educated animation artist, students learn professional techniques for character design, gesture, expression, composition, and visual storytelling. Young artists will develop their own unique style while learning how to turn original drawings into polished digital illustrations. Students must bring their own iPad.
Technology Requirement: Students must bring their own iPad and compatible stylus/Apple Pencil. Before the first class, please download the free Adobe Fresco app and make sure it opens successfully on your device. All digital illustration instruction will be taught using Adobe Fresco.
Game Design

Ages: 10 - 14
Design an original game board and original cards from scratch! Artists will first plan game mechanics, and then integrate spinners, cards, and/or game pieces, to build a playable work of art with a unified theme. Creativity continues to flow as artists also create a set of cards in a style of their choosing - trading cards, game cards, etc. (Ages 10-14)
Painting Explorations!
Ages: 5 - 10
Young artists experiment with color mixing, brushwork, and composition to create beautiful paintings. Each class encourages creativity and self-expression while teaching foundational art techniques. (Ages 5-10)
Comic Books

Ages: 8 - 12
Students explore visual storytelling through comic creation! They develop characters, panels, and narrative flow while learning composition, gesture, and expression. (Ages 8-12)

Mixed-Media Art Studio

Ages: 5 - 10
A creative after-school class for young artists who love to make, experiment, and try new things! Students will explore a rotating mix of art materials, techniques, and creative challenges, which may include drawing, painting, collage, fiber arts, and more. Projects will vary throughout the session, giving students plenty of opportunities to build skills, follow their imaginations. (Ages 5-10)
