Watercolor Basics (morning)

Slow down and sharpen your eye through the timeless practice of painting in watercolor. In this relaxed studio class, students will work from landscape imagery and thoughtfully arranged objects to explore composition, light, color, and form. Instruction will focus on translating observation into expressive, layered watercolor paintings while developing techniques such as dry-brush, wet-on-wet, and controlled detail work. Students may follow structured guidance or pursue independent studies with individualized feedback. This class emphasizes careful looking, artistic decision-making, and a thoughtful, fine-art approach to watercolor.

Adult + Child Art Workshop: Iris Paper Folding

Ages: 9 - 12
Discover the art of Iris Paper Folding in this hands-on workshop with guest instructor, Nicole Gauvin. You'll learn how simple strips of paper can be folded, layered, and arranged to create a beautiful three-dimensional spiral design. Put your new skills to use by creating a seasonal greeting card to celebrate the autumn months - choose from a September apple, October pumpkin, or November leaf design. (Ages 9-12)
Day-Off Camp!

Looking for a fun and inspiring way to spend a day off from school? Join this full-day art camp where students explore drawing, painting, and sculpture. Each camp features new projects, outdoor time at our local park (weather-permitting), and plenty of hands-on creativity. (Ages 5-11)
Suminagashi Paper Marbling
Learn the ancient Japanese art of suminagashi - floating ink on water to create stunning marbled papers. Create multiple decorative sheets that can later be used for cards, book covers, or more, as well as a small wooden picture frame keepsake.
Upcycled Aluminum Flowers
with Candice Bloch
Learn how to transform old drink cans into stunning forever flowers! Students cut and assemble petals from a variety of cans, and use hot glue and creativity to bring beautiful blooms to life. Materials provided, though additional rinsed cans are always welcome! (Ages 16+)
Mini Bookmakers
Ages: 5 - 10
Learn the art of handmade books through folding, binding, and collage techniques. Experiment with structure and sequence as you design accordion books, zines, and tunnel forms. Combine craftsmanship and creativity to produce one-of-a-kind works of art that tell a story through both form and content. (Ages 5-10)
